Adelaide Hills Trip

Time really flies~ I've been here for 2 months already!! Can time don't fly so fast? Can it be just walking or perhaps crawling is slower? Haha~ Day-dreaming again~ Oh well, i believe i'll just have to keep up with time and try to visit as many places as i could then.

Lets talk about the first few places that i've been to during my orientation
week in July. It was a 2-week orientation and we had the normal ice-breaking sessions and welcome tea for all international students. Its has been great meeting people from all around the world, Germany, Denmark, France, South Africa, Sri Lanka (Kasun, in the first pic), and of course, Singapore and Malaysia. I get to learn some of the local languages like "Ta" for thank you, How is it going? for How are you? (Basically, this is what the locals said when they meet you in any places), and you replied with 'Good! How are you?' haha~ Perhaps i should try this when i'm back in SG...lol. Kinda interesting though =p

During the first Friday of the orientation, we went to Mount Lofty and Cleland Wildlife Park at Adelaide Hills. From Mount Lofty Summit, you get to see the superb views over the whole of Adelaide and the coast. Perhaps i should go there again to see the night view, bet it will be damn nice~ There's also a Fire Tower where its used to spot fire in Adelaide Hills, guess what? Its 34 meters high!! Thats where you get the spectacular view of the city.

Nest stop is
the Cleland Wildlife Park where i get to take photos with different types of wild animals, like the kangaroos, koalas, wombats, wetlands, etc. For $2, you can get a bag of dried food to feed the kangaroos, its really weird with all the saliva on your hands, but no doubt its super fun!! The baby kangaroos are just so cute~ and their fur is real soft~

The Star of the park was definitely the Koalas. You know they really take good care of the koalas, they are not out all the time, you have to follow the time table and queue to take pics with them. Just have a look at how long the queue is. They even have their own resting hut with a sign outside saying "Shhh! Koala Rest Area" Haha~ Here's some pics of it, cute huh?
